Meet the family. Well, this photo was taken a few years ago - looks like about 1968. That's me at the top left. My sister Helen is beside me, then my father, then Marg and Hans. My mother is standing in front of me. Next to her are Helen's three kids: Kerwin, Kevin and Karen. Kate and Nancy are in the front row. Ben (Benjamin Schottle, the Brewmaster) wasn't born at this time - he come along shortly after this photo.
The family is a little different now. Nothing like 30+ years to change things a bit. Helen, Marg and I are all retired. Little Nancy has two kids of her own now. And, I have a few more wrinkles, and alot less hair - and grey at that now.
I was supposed to start work on a family tree website for our branch my mother's side of the family. I got out of the work. I looked at tracing the family tree on my father's side - the McCallum's, and quickly decided it was too difficult. But, Vern Bechill has been working on it with great sucess. Since Esther Beattie moved to Alberta, it hasn't been so easy to track down so much of the family history.
